dodgeramsst2003 3 #1 Posted December 17, 2011 I picked up this wheel horse a while back. I have finally got around to looking at it more closely. Can someone tell me what it is? the model number is 10276-8 which by looking it up says it's a 1973 8hp 4 speed. The only problem is every picture I find of a 73 8hp 4sp shows a horizontal engine with full running boards. My tractor had a vertical engine and it only has the small foot rests. The deck is strange too.... (well with my limited knowledge of wheel horses) it has a left side disharge chute and also apprears to be fully open on the back ( I need to double check this). the serial number is 907551. It has the 4 sp transmission, and all the metal is straight except for on little dent on a fender. I don't know what its future is yet, I was thinking of restoring if time/money ever allow. For starters I'll have to find an engine which should have been an 8 hp tecumseh.
TT-(Moderator) 1,162 #2 Posted December 17, 2011 It is what it is: You're looking at pictures of the 1-0120 & 1-0130 8 / 4-speed "garden" tractors - the descendants of the Command 800.
dodgeramsst2003 3 #3 Posted December 17, 2011 Thanks TT for the info and picture. I found this in a barn and other than some surface rust and missing engine it's fairly complete and in decent shape.
