I Just Had To Buy It

Recommended Posts

Pollack Pete

A guy had this advertised on our local CL. I took the 25 minute ride last night and bought it.It's a 1991 310- 8 speed. It has a 37 inch SD deck that except for the paint is in pretty good shape.Today I tried the PTO and the mower drive blew off after a couple minutes.Anyone have a routing diagram for the belt? Also, anyone have an extra plastic cover for the air filter? The engine is a 10 horse Kohler Magnum.I don't think I did too bad on this horse.I paid $250.Needs only a little TLC.

You don't necessarily need the plastic cover for the air filter, one of the steel rounded ones will work as well.

Nice score! Did the bagger come with it?

What's that bring the total to? Have you hit triple digits yet? You must be getting close if not over 100.

I think the unofficial Wheel Horse count is up to about 70.Add in the 15 Bolens tractors and I'm up to like 85.

Some run. Some are complete but should run. Some are rollers.Nothing I consider a parts machine.I just hate

to part these things out.The Squaw thinks I have brain damage.Hmmmm......maybe she's right......

85 your going to catch me pretty soon, my wife thinks I'm nut also, but it is a self supporting hobby when you part some out and sell off runners.

Pete, try this for the belt routing. It's from a slightly earlier version of that series of mowers, I think it will work for you. Figure 14 is probably the clearest view.
