Ryanflathead45 11 #1 Posted December 13, 2011 Hello all. I have starting tinkering on a GT 14 that belongs to my grandpa. He bought it from a school auction a few years back and we use it to plow snow. everything works and it gets the job done but it won't idle very smooth. It runs smooth when the revs are higher, but at idle you can see the govener moving the butterfly in the carb back and forth. Any ideas where I should start? Thanks in advance, Ryan

tunahead72 2,346 #3 Posted December 13, 2011 That's the first thing I would try too, let us know if that smooths out the idle at all. Assuming you still have a Kohler K321S on this tractor, there's also an owner's manual in the Documents section here that may help you out. And for future reference in case you need it at some point, there's also a service manual and parts manual for this engine. It's probably available as a free download from Kohler, and it's certainly available elsewhere if not.
