How much lift on your snowplow?

Recommended Posts

I bought a wheel horse plow about 6 weeks ago, but it had a mount from a different tractor attached. I picked it up for under $40 so since I had enough scrap metal around I figured I would just fab a mount for it. I now have this mounted on my work horse attached to the rear quick mount. I have connected it to the hydraulic lift but am concerned about how low the blade when in the full up position. in full up it just touches the front axle.

How high is the stock plow when it is in the up position? I'm having concerns about driving up the apron on my driveway and also pushing the snow up and over the curb. I'm seriously considering reworking the mount to attach to the front mounting point so I can get the blade up and out of the way. Any input from anyone on this?

Thanks,

Chris

On the bell crank there will be three holes to choose from to attach your lift chain or bar. What hole are you using now?
