Will 520 tach work on a single cylinder kolher?

I was wondering if tachometer off a twin cylinder 520 would work on a single cylinder Kolher? Will it only read half of the actual rpm?

You really need someone smarter than me to answer that, I am not sure. The tach on the 520 gets it signal from the voltage regulator, rather than the more common method of counting ignition pulses. II would suspect that the output of the Kohler stator is compatable with the gauge.
