Hydro 131 #1 Posted December 5, 2011 I just installed my new to me 44" 2 stage blower on my 314H and I have a few questions. 1) Is it normal for the left side of the blower to lift just a little higher than the right side? 2) Is the big coil spring intended to be used with the Hydro or is it mainly for the manual lift? I have the spring engaged. 3) My blower did not have the spring which attaches to the lift rod and then connects to the frame. Should I order it? The Hydro seems to raise and lower the the blower without any issues other than it's not quite level. What is the normal height they can be raised off the ground? dgoyette 12 #4 Posted December 5, 2011 Mine raises about 6 inches. There are different slots for lift eight I think the 3rd from the bottom was the best for my C-16o. Mine lifted pretty level though. Do yo have bracket # 79-2530 (check diagram on Parts Tree or Mowpart.com) ? It is often missing when you buy a blower because it sometimes gets lost or stays on the tractor of a prior owner by mistake. What is the condition of your mid mount Attach a matic? Does the blower fit pretty snug?
can whlvr 994 #5 Posted December 6, 2011 i dont have a 2 stage but i do know that the older and more used single throwers can sag on one side, you dont need the spring with hydro, but definatly keep it,if its like the single spring it will work on tillers too,and they dont all seem to have the spring either
Hydro 131 #6 Posted December 6, 2011 The tractor is like new. The attachamatic is really tight. I have a manual and have checked all of the lift linkage and the only thing I don't have is the spring which attaches to the lift rod. The blower lifts about 4 inches but is a little off on the opposite side from the lift or on the big spring side. I too have different slots in the lift bracket but only a couple fit unless I manually lift the blower into the other holes and so thats why I was asking about the height not sure whether I should force it higher or not.
