tommybro 1 #1 Posted November 28, 2011 :dunno: Hi, I scored these 2 tractors, I think they are RJ35 but would appreciate some verification. On the rearend it does have POND stamped in it. Also if anyone has anyplace they think I can get a recoil and possibly the gaurd for the right side pullies. Here it is Thanks in advance for any input

Kelly 1,028 #4 Posted November 28, 2011 Nice score, look on ebay for the starter recoil I think one is on there now not sure if it was for a kohler or clinton, or even if it make a diff.?
DoctorHfuhruhurr 136 #5 Posted November 28, 2011 Don't the RJ35's have a smooth hood nose without the stamped Wheel Horse in the hood front? I thought that was in the RJ58's but I could be mistaken. I don't know them very well.
tommybro 1 #6 Posted November 28, 2011 I did not think it was too bad of a score for $50 each, did I get beat up bad for that price ?
Kelly 1,028 #7 Posted November 28, 2011 Well I think you should go to church and confess you stole them at that price, and I think only the 55,56 had the smooth hood, in 57 they had the WH stamped in to them.
Gene_S 93 #8 Posted November 28, 2011 I did not think it was too bad of a score for $50 each, did I get beat up bad for that price ? You've been with RS since Jan 2010 and you wonder if you,ve been beat up at $50 a piece? There are several parts alone worth $50 or way more a piece off them tractors. You that score out of the park. fireman 1,021 #9 Posted November 28, 2011 I agree the Wheel Horse stamped in the hood should make it a 57 or a very late 56. But the small cast steering wheel should make it an early 56 at the latest. Just another mystery added to the legacy!
stevebo-(Moderator) 8,049 #10 Posted November 28, 2011 The Rj in the first pics is a 57. You should be looking for the correct enclosed 57 belt guard. Very nice pic up !! IMO I would NOT paint them rather leave them as is PLEASE !!
