StWeiler 6 #1 Posted November 25, 2011 Do any of you have the clevis hitch to sleeve hitch kits on your rigs? If so, would you mind posting a picture or two? I simply can't seem to find any good photos and am curious to see what it looks like. I'm wanting to get a hitch on the back of the C- before spring, just not sure which direction to go. Would mostly be used for sleeve hitch attachments, but also like to throw the receiver hitch on to move the trailer around as needed. TIA!
Kelly 1,031 #2 Posted November 25, 2011 I don't have one installed, yet, but a clevis and sleeve hitch are the same, did you mean a slot hitch and sleeve hitch? but hooking a trailer with a ball on either one is not a good idea, both are held up by a cable that will not support the weight of a heavy trailer, if you look in the for sale section a member is making nice receiver hitches that would work for you. StWeiler 6 #3 Posted November 26, 2011 Yes I did mean slot hitch..typo. And yes I know that neither will be sufficient for towing a trailer around, thus I'm in the hunt form something that is simple to "change out" when needed, or I may just possibly invest in the front mount receiver hitch. Either way, I'd like to actually see this mysterious slot to sleeve conversion kit I've read about online, but cannot seem to find any reference or photos of it. Thanx again
sorekiwi 761 #4 Posted November 26, 2011 Are you talking about the adaptor shown in this thread? viewtopic.php?f=4&t=5053&hilit=clevis+hitch
