Bought a Roller for Fun

Recommended Posts

grnlark

I bought this roller from another member cheap just to build something fun. I've kinda been keeping my eyes open for something to stick my puller tires on and a twin cylinder Vanguard motor I've had kicking around. I have no interest in pulling, I just wanted something with big stupid tires that would also be obnoxiously loud. :dunno: I have no idea what model tractor this is or was. The ID tag says model: 1 4631 :wh: Anyway, here are a few preliminary pics.

Matt,

That's a 1968 Commando 6. Had a Techy HH60 originally.

P.S. You sure you won't sell the Struck :dunno:

May I ask what size those tires are? They are MASSIVE!

26x12x12 on 12" rims with a 4x8 offset.

The tires are 26x12x12 but I can't speak to the offset. I have no clue.

I think it would look better with a mower deck. :dunno:

I love the stance it has with the huge meats in the back and those little fronts. Perfect rake!

That looks tuff as heck, what is the fender off? it fits good with the tilt and the from opening fits good, almost looks like a hydro fender.

The fender pan is what was on it. I'm assuming it was original the tractor. I still have it attached in the rear with the stock two bolts and temporarily have a piece of 1x3 bolted as a riser up front. Yes, very half a__ but I want to make sure everything is going to fit and work before I invest a decent amount of time and energy into it. It totally clears the tires as you see it now and rolls with no rubbing.

Very cool looking tractor!!! :dunno:

I think it would look even cooler if you extended the front end out about a foot with a aluminum gas tank above the axle... :wh:

I think your right Kelly that does look like a hydro fender pan...

I ment "front" opening, it is the lower cut, the fender sets level even with the rake the tractor has with out the big and littles on it, the fender would tilt to the back, what ever the fender is off it fits nice.

Gotcha..... Pretty sure the pan was previously modded. Looks like a patch was put in in the front hole.

How bout that baby-blue Panzer.... :dunno:

Cool little tractor, just the right look IMO, a little disproportional (the back tires), but it makes it look meaner.

So does this mean you are giving up on that streached / highly modded panzer you had going? With the motorcycle engine? Or is this a temporary toy so-to-speak

Just a low buck, throw-together. The Panzer is a big project that I don't really want to get into yet. I still have the Bantam all apart that I'm hoping to get back from paint soon. That's going to take some real time to finish and that's first.
