MaineDad 87 #1 Posted November 20, 2011 Could not find the original thread so I started a new one. As some of you know, I designed a weight box for my C-120 8 Speed and had my brother in law weld it up for me. Sanded, primed and painted it recently and added a 1x8 board on the bottom so the concrete blocks won't scrape the bottom. Here's some pictures; Just got to add the tire chains and I will be ready for winter...

Stigian 1,234 #7 Posted November 20, 2011 Those blocks are ideal for keeping a few beers in while your blowing the snow away, they just need a little padding first That's a cool looking weight box, me like :dunno:
JimD 3,347 #8 Posted November 23, 2011 Very nice. It looks like a factory installation. :dunno:
chesbaycruiser 83 #9 Posted November 23, 2011 Finish looks great! Looks like it attaches to the fender stand and the top of the plow/blade bracket. Does it also attach to the hitch, or is that still free to use for a spreader, etc? Nice job....may have to fab one myself! :dunno:
Coadster32 793 #10 Posted November 24, 2011 Great fab job! Looks like an original attachment.
JC 1965 1,532 #11 Posted November 24, 2011 :dunno: Wow!! Great job Micah, That looks good enough to be a factory design. Did you just come with the idea on your own. Anyway great job. :wh:
MaineDad 87 #12 Posted November 24, 2011 Chris: It is attached to the fender stand (drilled 2 holes on each side) and the axle using the bottom of a tiller/plow bracket leaving the hitch still attached and available for use. I designed the weight box and had my brother-in-law, who is a welder, weld it up for me. With the wheel weights and tire chains, the weight box helps tremendously.
