HorseFixer 2,013 #26 Posted November 18, 2011 by cutting the slot and moving the lever from reveres back to neutral you will rip off the safety switch arm. you will have to weld on a tab so the safety switch arm rides over the motion control arm peg. tore one up on my van because i was not thinking and could not see it. Thanks JT, I work at the Biggest Hotel in my County.... I have Supervised The Maintenance Dept. of this Hotel for the last 20 ys. maybe you herd of it? Some refer to it as Hungry Joe's We provide 3 Hots & a Cot to some of the Counties Finest. We provide some of the best Electric doors & locks money can buy. These doors (many of which are sliders) have micro switches that give the doors position. As you can probably figure in 20 years I have had much experience on adjusting these switches, doors, linkages or what have have you. After all would not want any of our fine residents (customers) to have a bad experience (pinched fing-ees) while at our fine establishment. Thanks for bringing this to my attention, I will pull out my drawer of Honeywell Roller Switches (the kind with rollers on the lever) and see what style that might be able prevent this from happening. smoreau 658 #27 Posted November 18, 2011 Bob Cut it at a angle with a slight bump in it so you can still find center easy, but you wont have to push the the lever down for it to go into rev. this shouldn't interfere with with the pedal operation ether. Unless you plan on using the cam plate with the pedal. as for those honeywell switches, Don't they have replaceable contacts in them? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Seems like you all hate the Onan, hate the steering and now you hate the late model shifters. With a C160 you wont have to worry about any of those inconveniances.
