Prater 76 #1 Posted November 15, 2011 With the weather cooling off and a bit more time in my schedule, I have started back to work on the D180. I was able to replace the coil and fuel pump tonight. Test fired for just a few to keep the neighbors happy. Tomorrow I will start her back up and see if I can get the transaxle moving again. Might be in the market for a new rear end if this donor I have will not work...
Prater 76 #2 Posted November 15, 2011 Ran crappy this morning so I picked up new plugs. Now I have no spark after a short run with new plugs. Power to the new coil, just not firing...points needed a cleanup so I took care of that but still no spark. Even the old plugs wont spark, figured I may have blown the new plugs with the Accel coil. What fun this is...ohh and when the engine was running there was no forward or reverse!!!
wh79d160 52 #3 Posted November 16, 2011 Might make sure your push valve is closed. Hopefully that is what your forward/reverse issue is. :dunno:
