Mule Drives

Hi All,

Can anyone advise on the 520H mule drives for the 48" and 60" decks?

My research shows that the mule drives for the 60" decks were originally spring loaded. Did Toro simplify the manufacture (and cut costs) by removing this feature in later models? (as shown in the MODEL NO. 78390- 5900001 & UP parts catalogue)

I have two 520H's with 60" decks - both mule drives are standard without any spring loaded mechanism.

Cheers,

Paul

All the 60 inch decks I have had on my present/and past 520H have all been spring loaded with the offset pulleys which I understand as being the norm. The standard mule drive works however binds if you move the deck height and may break the belt being to tight which I have heard happen. My $.02

I just checked the Toro Master Parts viewer and the mule drives all are the same spring loaded ones as in the past.
