whfan74 2,072 #1 Posted November 7, 2011 Well I was tipped off by a friend that there was a Wheel Horse for sale here in town. From the descriptions of the the possible tractor it sounded as if it might be a 200 series vertical shaft. I wasn't interested but I thought what the heck. Every lead I get I try and go and look as you never know what you might roll up on. Well when I arrived I can honestly say I have never seen such a thing! I know everyone likes to put their own little twist to make it fit their needs from time to time, but I wasn't prepared for this. Had to take a picture for the rest of you to enjoy. No I didn't buy it, and no I never called the number to even see how much they were asking.

Sparky-(Admin) 23,269 #4 Posted November 7, 2011 Hmmm....looks sorta neat! Does the rear bed tilt, it looks like it does. Must have one heck of a counter weight on the front . Mike.........
Doubletrouble 10 #5 Posted November 7, 2011 It's the very rare WheelHorse dump truck! You should have snatched that up!!! :dunno:
Rollerman 290 #6 Posted November 7, 2011 Looks pretty usefull to me & I agree with Mike....hope it has a counter weight or a castor wheel underneath the bed. I always like seeing some of the creations people come up with. There were about a bazillion (estimate ) Horses built & it's good to see one made into something usefull as apposed to rotting away in neglect. :dunno:

can whlvr 994 #9 Posted November 8, 2011 it would be great for putting out the garbage or recycle,i have a huge wagon that holds that stuff but that would be easier than draging the cart around :dunno:
fourwheels0 191 #10 Posted November 8, 2011 that's cool. you can see the counter weights up front. who needs a pickup when you can have a horse .
whfan74 2,072 #11 Posted November 8, 2011 It isn't a bad idea at all, he just chopped things up quite a bit to get it done. There are suitcase weights hanging off of the front as you can slightly make out. The bed does tilt and it is hydraulic. If I remember correctly he has a belt rigged up coming off of the box up to the PTO and it is powered by that. The frame rails are pretty heavy as you can see and they are cut off right about where your legs go on those fashionable foot rests. He mounted lights on the roll bar/frame and there are also red trailer lights on the back right underneath the box. It is a neat little garbage hauler, but definitely not something I would have any use for. Just thought it was interesting to see what some people do to adapt to make their chores a little bit easier.
