mark89 0 #1 Posted November 7, 2011 have a k301 in my c-120 that have been bored 30 over an is shot but have a older 12hp k301 thats in good running shape never bored an no smoke or oil use. what i would like to know is since one is a starter an the older one is a starter genarater can u change the flywheels so that the older one can use a starter thanks mark Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Kelly 1,033 #2 Posted November 7, 2011 Yes, but you also need to change the bearing plate behind the starter, the stator bolts to it and that is your charging system, and of course the tin on the engine will need to be swapped. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
