varosd 1,185 #3 Posted November 1, 2011 I agree! Growing up in CT my Dad picked up a earlier set of gang reels since the B-80 36 RD was a little small for 2 acres. that set of gang reels were silver and I dont remember the brand. My Dad sold them when he moved to FL and when my folks moved back to CT, I got the good old B-80 (just painted the tin, hood, foot rest, fenders. just rattle can Regal Red but looks fine) I have over an acre and some uneven parts and yet the gang reels roll over fine! I will need to get them a spin/relief sharpen in Lebanon, PA as just they havent been back lapped and the bed knife might a going over. still, for free not a bad deal!!!!!! Rollerman 290 #4 Posted November 1, 2011 I have the same set of Roxy-Bonner reel mowers. Old photo & the've been stored away for a long time, but they cut pretty good when I had them out. Sorry I can't help with a manual.

varosd 1,185 #7 Posted November 1, 2011 sounds about right...I wish I had these back in NC with my hybrid Bermuda..that grass had to be cut every 4-5 days and would have looked great using the reels. Still looking for a C-160/161 with lift just to add little more chug power, but my K-181 pulls them just fine!
TT-(Moderator) 1,162 #8 Posted November 1, 2011 I have a set of R-B reels too. Used hard and put away dry. (they weren't blessed with regular lubrication) Very primitive compared to what I'm used to, but as long as they cut the grass, right? Reel & rear roller bearings are standard "off the shelf" pieces, but I haven't found a source for the knives, pawls, or other wear parts yet.
