neil 2,410 #1 Posted October 23, 2011 This nice little FergyTED 20 came up for sale locally so i went to have a look and the guy that owned it had had it in his family since 1964 and carried out a restoration about 5 years ago . he told me to take it for a spin , and i was hooked . So i bought it . He was selling it with a 3 furrow plough but i didnt buy that as i dont think i would use it . It needs a few bits and pieces done on it but only minor things . It runns on petrol & TVO but i will probably only run it on petrol.

Sparky-(Admin) 23,277 #4 Posted October 23, 2011 Nice new machine Neil . Will the new tractor have any chores or is just for riding about? Whats the story on the interesting looking picnic table/bench next to the tractor? Whats it made out of? Mike.........
pmackellow 12 #5 Posted October 23, 2011 Smart machine neil, well done We had one of these from 1976 until early this year, my father passed away in January and my mother wants to move so the garage was cleared, we didn't have room at ours so it was sold on... to a chap in our town who uses it regularly so a result really !! Are you changing your forum name to neilfergiehorse now then ?? :dunno:
neil 2,410 #6 Posted October 23, 2011 HI sparky i will use to tractor for a few little jobs around the house but mostly it will get used to drive on the road for a few road runs , and the picnic bench was left at an old house that was being demolished so i brought it home, it made from concrete and is damn heavy . Hi Paul , i always fancied getting one of these fergies to play on and i just finished building a house at work and had a few quid spare so i went and got this , although wheelhorse is really my first love, so i wont be changing my name just yet LOL but i kinda like the name that you gave me LOL I liked the little write up you had in the Tractor & machinery Mag by the way good pics. farmer 1,078 #7 Posted October 23, 2011 Nice little fergie Neil, I have a friend who has one, his dad had it from new and now his own son is driving it. Three generations, old Harry would be pleased. His has the 'banana' FEL and a fergie link box..all original, amazing to think they were once the main farm workhorse in the UK. Hope you enjoy it. :dunno:

Stigian 1,234 #9 Posted November 11, 2011 That's a cool little Fergie Neil, I love the skinny front wheels of these early Fergies. Who parked the Raider through the wall of your (rather cool looking) wood store?? :dunno:
