Round hood no sparkie no workie

Hooked up the sweeper to the 704 for a little leaf clean up/seat time after work. All started well enough. I drove through my back yard gate and got off to close it. As I was walking back to the tractor it just shut off. No warning. You'd swear a ghost flipped the kill switch. Upon investigation I found the wire to the kill switch had chafed where it comes down from the gas tank shelf along the steering shaft. One tiny spot is all it takes to ground the mag. If your mag engined ever just shuts off, check that. It could save you some WTF time. :dunno:
