fourwheels0 191 #1 Posted October 9, 2011 i'm looking at this tractor. whats the value of a good condition 1960 wheel horse. i think it's a 400?. it does not have the kohler 4hp but a briggs 3.5 on it now. it comes with a front plow. just wondering what they go for. horsefeathers 15 #2 Posted October 9, 2011 Everyone want's 'em but nobody want's to pay ! I'd say $100- $150 max!
rydogg 186 #3 Posted October 9, 2011 I would go as high as $500 depending on condition such as has it been cut or modified in any way to get the briggs to work also is the metal pitted or banged up if it is in poor to average condition $100-$300 is about right. I have a bunch of the little k90 and k91 kohlers so I would get rid of the briggs and put it back to original. It's good to see you back Horsefeathers I was going to start a post to figure out what happened to you but I guess I don't have to now.

Kelly 1,033 #5 Posted October 9, 2011 Looking at the pictures I'd say the asking price of $500 is fair, but I always try to get things for a little less, that is just me.
wallfish 18,221 #6 Posted October 9, 2011 With all the extras, it's like buying the tractor for $200. That snow blade will not fit that tractor.

Edjfleming 0 #8 Posted October 9, 2011 Well worth it, you can sell the parts it comes with for about $400. and you come out paying a $100 for the tractor. Great deal!!!

fourwheels0 191 #10 Posted October 10, 2011 well i didn't get it. with my bad habit of looking around i found something closer to me and went and got it. 74 or 75 c-160 with snow/dirt plow, dump trailer, aerator. all accessories are wheel horse. seems to run good so far. needs 1 front tire, headlight lens and 1 bulb. pics will be up tomorrow in it's own thread.
