C-195 Mower Deck Spring

[New-To-Red with C-195 1]

I need a belt tension spring for a C-195 with a 60" mower deck. The mower deck slows considerably when mowing and I believe the belt is slipping. I've tried several springs from hardware stores but no luck. I've not been able to locate the part number and availability for original spring.

Any help would be appreciated.

I just looked up the deck, 05-60SC01 on sepw.com and the spring is...

Description SPRING EXTENSION

Check out the drawing and see if that is it, only spring on the deck...

Just for info, if you have your VIN number on your tractor, you can look up info on Toro's site or google it.

Thanks C-Series14. I went to that website and I didn't have any luck finding that part. I did Google and I'm finding a couple of places listing that part # (most of which say the part is discontinued).

I'll keep trying the sepw.com website though. I must be doing something wrong.

Go to the SEPW website. When you get there, click on "parts look up". Next you have to select your OEM. Select Toro Consumer Equipment from the drop-down menu. Once that is loaded, click on the MODEL tab. In the box enter 05-60SC01 just as it is written here. That will bring up two mower decks. One 1982 the other 1983. Click on either one to view that parts diagram. The spring is on the last page. SEPW shows it as available.

Doing a Google search for 109861, I found several Toro dealers that still have it for about $17.00.
