IthacaJeff 151 #1 Posted September 9, 2011 Hi folks: I just picked up a disc harrow and a 6 shovel cultivator that I believe are for a late 1950s Bolens Ride-A-Matic. They are nicely rusted and I've got 'em soaking in PB Blaster, but they should turn out nicely functioning. I don't have a picture, but they look like the disc and cultivator on this page: http://www.simplicityva.com/bolens/Rideamatic1.html My question. . . the hitch frame on the implements don't fit either a WH slot hitch or sleeve hitch, but I'd like to use these tools. It would be a relatively easy fix to make these fit the slot hitch (weld on a bar of flat stock), but it might be better to trade them or sell them. So, any thoughts on prices for these things? jbumgarner 12 #2 Posted September 9, 2011 I dont know what the availability of WH attachments are in your area, but down south they are usually few and far between. With that being said, if you would use the attachments and the conversion to a WH hitch was relatively easy, I would say change them over and get them back in the dirt. Now on the other hand, if WH attachments are available in NY, clean up the Bolens attachment and have the Bolens collectors bring their cash and buy some genuine WH attachments. Only my 2 cents, and good luck with the attachment either way. :thumbs2:
