New-To-Red with C-195 1 #1 Posted September 5, 2011 My C-195 boggs down when mowing. It seems to run well and starts okay but loses power when mowing. I checked compression and it has 105psi on each cylinder and I just changed the spark plugs. Air filter is good but that is all I have done. I'm trying to decide where to go next. I am familiar with rebuilding carbs and working on engines but I have never messed with a governor assembly so I am not even sure what to look for there. Any suggestions would be appreciated. rockbuilt 7 #2 Posted September 5, 2011 before you pull the motor apart I would check a few more simple things first. I had the same thing happen on my C-120 and it turned out to be the deck its self new washers and clean and lube the slack adjuster under the cover. seems too easy but that was all it was. I also had the same symptoms on my C-100 but even worse as soon as I would engage the pto it would bog down a little and when I put it down in the grass it just didn't have enough power to cut that time it was the bearing in the pto pulley. don't know what its called exactly :thumbs2:
