anixon92 0 #1 Posted September 2, 2011 Have a old L156 lawn ranger i just pick up and was wordering if there is a snowplow made for it. If so what kind would i be looking for. I only have a small driveway and figured if they made a plow, i would try to pick one up for it. So if they do i'm looking to purchase a blade for it. I'm in new jersey. thanks al

CasualObserver 3,411 #3 Posted September 2, 2011 There's a correct blade for sale in this thread. http://www.wheelhorseforum.com/index.php?...ndpost&p=253635 Of course, it's in the Indiana, and you're in New Jersey, but at least you can see what it looks like. Lane Ranger 11,395 #6 Posted September 3, 2011 anixon92: The first two photos with the 1967 Lawn Ranger showing the plow (plow has been repainted) -also shows the paint and finish. A real closeup will show some scratches and dings but this tractor actually has the original paint and decals. :thumbs2:
pfrederi 18,669 #7 Posted September 3, 2011 Blade is Model BDR-385 They show up occasionally but are usually missing the side mounting plates (the gray steel plate in the picture). I had to make my own but then the blade only cost me $11 so I couldn't complain about their absence. She will push a lot of snow!!
anixon92 0 #8 Posted September 3, 2011 ok thanks for heads up on blade . will have to keep watching for a plow. another question i just mounted mower deck and the front of deck is lower then the back end of it. how to you go about adjusting height. i try to find a manual for deck and tractor but no luck. thanks al
pfrederi 18,669 #9 Posted September 3, 2011 The front of a deck should be slightly lower than the rear. 1/8 to 1/4" lower. (reach underneath and measure the front and back end of the blade. There is no adjustment on the deck for leveling. If you deck is way down in the front I would suspect excessive wear in the "Link Mower Hanger #6234) or in the frame holes they mount in. My father used my L107 for many years mowing a rough lot. The spacers that fitted in the hangers had worn out and the hanger holes had wallowed out. First try new spacers. (you can get them at a hardware store). If that doesn't work and you still have slop like I did, I had the holes welded shut then re drilled them to size. The holes in the frame rails also wore. You can drill them over size and use a shoulder bolt or some spacers. I will try to remember to take some measurements tomorrow.
305 380 #10 Posted October 23, 2011 hello! bring this older thread back up to get some more info looks like i have made a deal to get a BDR385 plow for my Lawn Ranger next month, but i may or may not be getting the frame mounting brackets. either way , they look simple to make and i'm bored this afternoon so i thought i would get a start. i can extrapolate some dimensions by the pictures and comparing to my tractor. the two 3/8" bolt holes in the picture are 4" apart on my Lawn ranger what i would like to get help on is the exact location on that large pivot hole and the diameter. any help? thanks! i borrowed this picture from above
TT-(Moderator) 1,162 #11 Posted October 23, 2011 The mounting plates are exactly like the side plates for the 1964-1967 MA-1 speed hitch, with the exception of the slots being 3/4" holes. Full credit for this print goes to RS member "Jim_M" (hope he doesn't mind ):
