The largest decks offered for your C-105 when it was new were 42" wide, and I can tell you from my experiences with a C-105 and a later 310-8, that size is about as large as the 10 HP Kohler can handle, especially in tough mowing conditions. The brochures and other documentation I've seen from that era usually recommended at least 12 HP for a 48" deck. whfan74 2,015 #3 Posted September 1, 2011 A current D series deck will fit, the problem is that the carriage is a little bit different and uses a different style mule drive. A 48" can be turned by a 10 h.p. motor but wouldn't be recommended. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
