TT-(Moderator) 1,162 #2 Posted August 21, 2011 Early production K161 engines had a 2 7/8" bore. Later engines shared the same 2.938" (2 15/16") bore as the K181. Since they're technically the only parts that are different, I'm guessing you're trying to find a piston & ring set? Have you tried a Kohler dealer? Some of those older parts are getting tough to find, but with the correct part numbers (and the internet) you might get lucky. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
rdd52 0 #3 Posted August 21, 2011 a friend of mine is rebuilding the engine for me he ordered the parts and they sent him the set for the big bore now I'm trying to find the small bore piston and ring set.i will try a kohler dearler now i know what size piston I'm looking for he said something about a .010 rod but he lost the phone signal before he finished.now i will start looking while he is out of town maybe i can narrow it down until i get back with him.thank you for your reply. :thumbs2: Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
