Call me crazy

The other day I seen one of those big leaf blowers you ride around on eh? That got me thinking if I bolted a gas powered blower (or two) onto my tractor and used it as a (less effective) version of those 3 thousand dollar ones. I probably wouldn't use it to move massive amounts of leaves and trash around my yard, but more or less just to keep some light debris off. After all that thing does get heavy after 15-20 minutes of use.

The blower has a little speed control lever so I could reach back and adjust it any time I wanted, and I would add a swivel to it so I could change the pitch/rotation any time I'd need to. I do have a pretty big lawn with a whole lot of trees.

So what do you guys think about my insane ideas? any suggestions?

Thanks

Something like a Little Wonder or a Billy Goat push blower mounted to the front of the tractor would be nice. You could see it more easily and you could blow under fences, trees etc. just by pulling up to them.

We have a Toro 325D Groundsmaster with the front-mounted PTO driven 2670 Debris blower at work. It's actually impressive as to how much it can move and how maneuverable it is. (rear steer)

If you have a thick wallet, look into a Buffalo Turbine. I've rolled ducks across the ground with one of those. :thumbs2:

shorts

I used to have a neighbor that rigged up an old furnace blower to the front of his tractor to move leaves in the fall, just a mount bracket and drive belt to the pto, he had a sheetmetal elbow to deflect everything to the side :thumbs2:
