smoreau 658 #1 Posted August 21, 2011 I got a wh one bottom plow the other day that a friend found for me, and I was wanting to try it out. So I went over to my brothers with the 400 suburban and gave it a try. The face of the plow was rusty, but I wanted to see if the 400 could pull it. So after figuring out the correct adjustments and I had my brother try it out. He had a blast with that thing! He is going through cancer and has 1-2 more rounds of week long treatments to go. He hasn't been able to do a lot these days as he doesn't have a lot of money coming in. But he had some fun last night working the ground. It was so neat seeing that little 4hp kohler pull that plow through the ground! It needs a tum stone weight or hood weight in the front for sure. But it was a good time for my brother and that was what I was after.

MikesRJ 558 #9 Posted August 22, 2011 Awsome, but I don't think I could bring myself to do it with the RJ. :thumbs2:
smoreau 658 #10 Posted August 22, 2011 Awsome, but I don't think I could bring myself to do it with the RJ. Ah, come on! That RJ was built to pull a plow! I like to use my tractors for what they were built for. You should see the looks I get when I put the original deck on the 400 and cut the grass with 51 year old tractor I do have to say that it doesn't cut all that great, but is fun to do. shorts 182 #11 Posted August 22, 2011 Awsome pictures, it's good to see your brother and the tractor out getting some fresh air and exercise Find a sand bank or gravel pile to pull the plow thru to clean the rust off the moldboard and then protect it from further rust with por15.
