what these blocks are for? can't see them on the toro part viewer, so assume they have been made up for a reason !

I can see the holes line up with the original plough frame holes, but can't work out why they were needed.

They came with a 96-42BC01 plough.

thanks

Looks like additional weight to keep the blade down. Are they heavy?

relatively... they will weigh 8lbs each, but hardly enough to keep the blade down - plus they mount on the rear - or it looks that way.

thanks

Well done Mark, Couple of nice aquisitions there!. You can do some serious work with those.

Can't help with the Plough I'm afraid.

Every little bit of weight in the rear when plowing snow is helpful, but 16 lbs hardly seems like it would do much. :D

I'm curious to see what others think. :woohoo:

If they match up with the holes on the rear of the snow plow frame then it seems

they would have been made to fit there. Perhaps to give weight to the rear tires for

traction, but as others have said, 16 lbs is not worth the effort. (perhaps they are

16 kilos?). Also, after being fitted into the rear axle attach-a-matic it seems that these

weights would not fit.

Perhaps the plow was fitted to a non-WH tractor with the plow frame attachment point

was somewhere nearer the middle -- and these weights could then serve as counter

weights to the weight of the plow blade.

Just a thought.

They are almost like the blocks that go on the tranny along with the rear hitch that holds the blade. Allows for you to have a blade that rides a little higher off the ground when cruising around.
