krazy_horse 59 #1 Posted August 9, 2011 The slot hitch cable on my 856 is broken. I was out at tractor supply yesterday and they have cable and clevis ends which look a lot like the ones on the wheel horses. My question," Can one be made up and how would you crimp the ends to stand up for the lifting needed"? Thanks, Jim :woohoo:
jbumgarner 12 #2 Posted August 9, 2011 I made mine with a cable from my local hardware store. I used a swag tool and crimped stops to the ends and have had no problems. I just posted on this subject last week. Good luck :woohoo:

stevebo-(Moderator) 8,541 #5 Posted August 23, 2011 Most of the hardware stores can make up any size you want and crimp the ends for you. I believe you should have them crimp one end since the other end needs to go through the cable tube. I would just use the u bolts on that end under the tractor.
