fourwheels0 191 #1 Posted August 3, 2011 i just put these LED lights on my c-120. i hooked up directly to the factory wiring for the stock headlights and they work great. they are white led racing lights made by optronics model ls-126. i got them at advance auto. not too bad for $22. Coadster32 793 #2 Posted August 3, 2011 Looks good. I bet they are pretty bright! :woohoo:
fourwheels0 191 #3 Posted August 3, 2011 well they are not as bright as i had hoped for BUT they are brighter than the stock headlights were. or seem to be to me. from what i could figure out they are around 20 watts. they are 120 candela according to the manufacturer. and draw .074 per led. 20 led's per housing. i'm not sure how much draw i can put on my 12 hp kohler but these seem to be ok so far. if i can get bigger or brighter ones without putting too much strain on my charging system then i will. anybody know how much draw i can put on a 12hp kohler charging system?. or how big of a watt bulbs i can use? what watt are the stock headlights on these tractors? squonk 38,840 #4 Posted August 3, 2011 I redid the reflector area of the head light bucket of my C-160 and added some 1156 Silver Star bulbs. Much better than stock. You can compare them to the sealed beams on my Power King.
fourwheels0 191 #5 Posted August 5, 2011 squonk i did the same thing with mine today. i used some aluminum tape and the same bulbs as you did. much better than stock. has any one run 2 set's of lights off the factory wiring?. i wonder if it will be too much for the system to handle. kadetklapp 1 #6 Posted August 5, 2011 I don't think those LEDs will add enough current to hurt the stock setup, provided it's in decent operating condition.
