Hammerhead 817 #1 Posted August 2, 2011 I had some of my WH's at the Plain City Ohio tractor show a couple weeks ago and talked to an old timer about his old WH. He wanted to know what year tractor he had back in the 1960's. We went over my collection and we figured out it was probably the 1955-56-or 57 RJ35 with a small Kohler he said. He got his hand caught in the rear belt and pulley while it was running, ouch! Suddenly he remembered he took the original motor off and put on a big Briggs motor that had more horse power, he also cut the back of the hood off to fit the big engine on like they always did! He said the original engine was still in his basement! It has set in his basement for some 40 years! He asked what it could be worth and I said at least $100.00 sight unseen. He gave me his number and I finally got to go over to his house today. I took one look and asked how much he wanted for it and he said $100.00 is ok with him!
