6wheeler 669 #1 Posted July 31, 2011 Hi guys and gals. Its a funny thing. My neighbor just came by and asked if I wanted to sell a part for a manure spreader and I said, I should probably keep that. I know alot of guys sell parts on here( thanks Kelly and Randy) But, how do you do it? I want to keep everything. I need a part from Kelly and I will be ordering it. But as far as the rest of my stuff goes I can't or don't want to part with it. I keep things that I probably will not ever use. I really think I may be in the wrong area for this, I don't know. But its funny, I had a part for my 165 and it was on my shelf(not labeled) and when my buddy Brad came over last weekend to have a beer and BS, he mentioned something he needed for his D-250, I had it. From a box of crap I picked up at an auction. All I am saying is, I keep everything(junk or not) and I do NOT have everything. I have alot of Wheelhorse stuff and I will get more, I will find it. I also have alot of green stuff. But, I am keeping it all. It is just funny to me,? Am I addicted? To all things? or just all thing L/G. My brothers nieghbor just bought a WH, he says, 308 w/ a 10 hp upgrade..... I want it. I don't know what it is, haven't seen it......... But, I want it. You guys have ruined me........................ Have a nice day.
zieg72 209 #2 Posted July 31, 2011 I have the same issue with car/truck parts. Over the years I have saved a bunch of stuff and used a lot of stuff in the repairs of other things, modified brackets, made a homemade trac-vac. I am to the point that it is overwhelming and slowly weeding through stuff. I know it isn't on the same plain as tractor parts which has a value but stuff none the less. The way I look at it is if I need it again I will just have to go to the pick and pull and get it, in a long run it will probably be faster as the safe hiding places for some reason I can't find any longer. tbbahner 28 #3 Posted August 1, 2011 Observation 1 - There's a show on TV similar to this - Hoarders. 2 - You need counseling 3. You know you've got a part but can't find the darn thing. 4. You just need to let go! 5. Many of us are in the same boat, my-self included! Tom B
