Eaton 1100 Filter replacements

Recommended Posts

What's a suitable filter replacement for the Eaton 1100? Is there a generic alternative? I performed a search and came up with nothing. Hopefully this is not a mundane question. :woohoo:

Would a Napa 1410 hydraulic filter be suitable?

Hydro

:woohoo: Drain your transmission filter and take it shopping. You will be surprised at what is out there. If you look at the filter base on the tractor you will see about a 3/8 inch wide surface for the rubber filter gasket to seal. The base of the filter(threads) simply has to be lower than the gasket to allow you to make the seal. You can easily make a physical comparison. We have a chain store, Canadian Tire, a filter replacement here is less than half of the price of the Wheel Horse filter. Wheel Horse calls for a change every 100 hours. I am sure your aftermarket products are even more competative than ours..

I agree with HYDRO make sur the filter does not ground out before it seals. the WIX/NAPA filters should be ok. I have used them before on transmissions and Kohler CH engines. BOWTIE IN OHIO

Picked up a Napa FIL1410 and the thread pitch is correct. We'll throw it together tonight.

Can anyone tell me about how many quarts of 10w30 to put in the transaxle?
