m2salmon 0 #1 Posted July 26, 2011 I stumbled on this- From what I was able to find out the C120 by Wheelhorse's last year was '79. Toro took over in '86. The tractor has the Toro markings, but I can't find any reference to a Toro C-120 tractor. It has Toro and Wheelhorse markings and is marked C120 on the front cowling, in front of the motor, with the wheel and horse picture marking. Does anyone know the years this tractor was made? How does the build quality compare to the Wheelhorse C120's? Was it a Kohler engine?
Raider12puller 1 #2 Posted July 26, 2011 It is actually a C125. which is a given away by the big square hood also called a black hood. Definitely the wrong decals. But nice :woohoo:
can whlvr 994 #3 Posted July 26, 2011 if you go to www.parts tree .com and go into toro then click on lawn and garden mowers it will give all the tractors and years and model numbers, then you will be able to get the proper part numbers and so forth
m2salmon 0 #4 Posted July 26, 2011 I'll take a look over at the parts tree site. I did some research earlier and the tractor markings threw me off. It has a black hood, Toro markings, but has this marking on the cowling in front of the hood. I can find no reference to a C120 after Toro took over. I did see the C125's during the Toro years- did they just badge some of them as c120's? Are they as rugged as the earlier C120's? The more I've worked to get my 1054 cleaned up, the less I want to make it into a beater.... I've been keeping my eye open for something along the lines of a C series for a reasonable price for the heavy winter plow duty around here. Any info would be appreciated. 546cowboy 302 #5 Posted July 26, 2011 TheC125's were made from 1980 to 1984 and there should be a model plate just below the dash on the verticle plate in front of the seat. A 1981 model# is 01-12KS01. You may have to look real close as I just got one and you could barely read the 1 in the 12 and it wasn't on line either.
C-Series14 15 #6 Posted July 26, 2011 Also, the C-120 was last built in 1977, not 1979. You are looking at a tractor that someone has put whatever decals they wanted on it...guaranteed! The C-Series were not made during the TORO era....
