Old Ways 30 #1 Posted July 26, 2011 Hello, I am buying a Commando 8 w/ Deck and sleeve hitch, and was wondering what all attachments there are for this tractor. Thanks. Attachments I would like are a Cab, Blower, and ground working attachments or a tiller (if they made them for the sleeve hitch using models...) :woohoo:
mavfreak 11 #2 Posted July 26, 2011 :woohoo: You may want to post a thread in the classifides for the things your looking for, more might see it there than here. Also there is several models of the commando so try posting the numbers off your tractor so we know which model and year you have Did you know that the commando 8 is the featured tractor for next years wheel horse show. Old Ways 30 #3 Posted July 26, 2011 I did know that it is the 2012 tractor, That list is just a list of the attachments I would wish to eventually get. My neighbor (who I am buying it off of, Andy) says it is a '68, but once I get the tractor I will post the Numbers. Also where on the tractor may I find those numbers? I'm still learnign my way around the site, so I will eventually find the threads you speak of. Thanks.
mavfreak 11 #4 Posted July 26, 2011 I think on the 68 model you look on the dash tower just below the dash and there will be a tag with the model and serial number on it. If been on this sight for over a year and still have figured out everything!
tunahead72 2,543 #5 Posted July 26, 2011 Dane, First, Where in PA you from? You can get a good bit of information from the Toro product information center. I was going to give you a direct link, but their web site isn't working quite right just now, just go to Toro.com and click the "Owners Manuals" link to get you there. Then enter your model number (for a '68 Commando 8, it's 1-4831) and click the Search button, then click the Accessories button to get a list of attachments that were available when the tractor was new. You can also find manuals, parts lists, etc. there, although some of the online parts suppliers have better organized and more understandable parts diagrams. And keep looking around on this forum, I'm constantly finding stuff here that I didn't even know existed. Hope this helps!

Old Ways 30 #11 Posted July 30, 2011 I am going to use this, and if I need a different trans, I will use a Sears Sub. tranny. I have a good history with the Sears tractors.
