Operator 7 #1 Posted July 25, 2011 Just had to post the way I hauled my "new" two stage blower home. I was going to use my Superduty and drive three hours each way and meet up with a member from Janesville Tom C. but due to my not getting home in time to get down to The Dells area, I met up with Tom on my way back from Detroit on friday afternoon. We had to pull the tall chute off to fit it behind the sleeper better. http://i698.photobucket.com/albums/vv343/o...gablower002.jpg Tom backed up to side of my truck http://i698.photobucket.com/albums/vv343/o...gablower003.jpg See it fits right nice! [i see I have to relearn PhotoBucket]

MalMac 1,332 #5 Posted July 25, 2011 Operator, I right with ya brother. I used to haul scrap steel. I would find Wheel Horse items in the loads or at the scrap yards and put it up between the cab and the trailer just like you did. I even got to where I put more decking down on the frame with some d-rings. I once had an equipment operator at one of the yards load a nice c-81 that was just sitting there waiting to be thrown in a train car. Amazing what a Wheel Horse collector will do to bring home that well sought after prize or that unexpected prize that shows up that just has to come home. mavfreak 11 #7 Posted July 26, 2011 Were I used to work at was a fab shop and all of our shipping was done by independent truckers. I have seen many things hauled behind the sleeper, from Harley's, engines, car frames, neatest thing was the rear of a VW bus cut off just before the engine It fit so good there that it looked as though you could weld it in and cut a hole in the back of the sleeper and had another room! Operator 7 #9 Posted July 27, 2011 Thank you Justin! Been awhile since I've done PB. Yup it worked good for hauling. Saved me 6 hours on my Superduty too Hoser, I'm in the scrap yards too, but I haul the more refined stuff. Stainless etc. and "shreds" which is ground up car pieces, "fluff" which is the seats , door panels etc. with metal mixed in. It all goes up to refiners in the Twin Cities area then gets remelted. I haul a lot of aluminum shred that goes to Spectro Alloys for melting. I just loaded today in Madison WI going to Gopher Smelting in Eagan.
