handyman 1 #1 Posted July 24, 2011 I had a buddy do the lawn after being in the hospital last week and he used his zero turn and had a lawn striper attachment that was basically a bunch of rollers behind the rear wheels. It looked really nice and would like to do something like it. I have seen some older Simplicitys that had wooden rollers all the way across the rear of the deck. Any thoughts, ideas or pictures. It would probably go on my 520H with the 60" deck so I was thinking something on the hitch since the deck is a treat to install/remove anyway.
mr.pipes 4 #2 Posted July 24, 2011 Here is a link on a homemade striper with materials list. http://70.85.43.66/showthread.php?t=192602 They have been made from rubber flaps and chains as well. You just need something to push the grass over. This guy went over each stripe multiple times with a push broom. Looks mint but way to much work for me. Youtube and Google should give you plenty of ideas.
