It's a 1962 something with a newer kohler in it, only ones it could be are a 702, 502 or 552.

I bet it goes like hell with that big pulley on the engine :woohoo:

It's a1962

It has the right front end ,steering wheel ,hood and metal bolt on dash

but as Kelly said it could be a 702,502or552

I believe that the battery box was still a weld on in 62 but the one on that

tractor has been removed and two piece's of angle iron put in it's place

I would guess a 702 or a 552 as there is a amp meter and key start

the 502 would have a on off toggle switch where the amp meter is

should all be the same front end. looks like she's missing the two

support bars (#3930) that run from the steering support to the hoodstand

and I see the shift lever is bent for a hy-2 kit so she should be a later year 1962

as the early ones had a straight lever like the 701's,rj's etc.

Thanks Guys :woohoo: .They had the front axle flipped upside down and I'm trying to put it together the right way.I will probably leave it green for a while unless I can come up with an old style 7hp Kohler to throw on it.

Joe...I am going to guess 702, because you do not see many 552's. Neither the 702 or the 552 would have the tool box because of the battery. The shifter is the one for the HY-2 kit. The kit could have been ordered standard, but the kit came with the bent shifter to replace the straight one, if it was ordered later. They usually went on the 702. All the parts for the 1962's are the same except for the belt guard...basically...depended on weather it was a Tech/Lawson 5.5HP or the Kohler 7HP. :ROTF: The color tells me the last owner was into MOPAR Superbees from the late 1960's. :D At 40mph, you can put plates on it and drive it back and forth to work. :D Nice horse Joe. :woohoo:

Yep - I say it's one of these :woohoo: :

Unfortunately, there is nothing left that can provide positive identification of exactly which one though.

Later '62 models came "standard" with the two-bend shifter. I believe only the instructions to add the second bend in the earlier shifters were included with the HY-2 kit.
