Giles 2 #1 Posted July 23, 2011 I think I may have a leak down problem. When I don't use the tractor for a few days, it is hard to start. I usually spray a little starting fluid to the air cleaner and it will start almost instantly and continue to run normally. I can let it set overnight or for 48 hours, and there is no problem starting. Before removing the pump, could someone give me an idea about how to check or rebuild? TT-(Moderator) 1,162 #2 Posted July 23, 2011 Try this: Close the fuel valve at the tank when you're done using the tractor and open just before you try starting it the next time. I usually forget to do that on mine, but I just "prime" the pump by LIGHTLY pressuring the tank immediately before starting.
