Sparky-(Admin) 23,255 #26 Posted July 22, 2011 I think Mike (sparky) was saying to have cold beer in the fridge for after. I don't think he was suggesting getting sloshed in the heat while working and running the tractor. But I could be wrong, that is just how I read it initially. Thanks for "getting it" Darren . Hydro 131 #31 Posted July 23, 2011 Hi there, I lost an engine (Onan) from it running too hot. Make sure your spark plug gap is set correctly. You could also consider using a plug with a lower heat range and if you use Hi test gasoline the ignition temperature is lower therefore combustion temperature is lower. These are good safeguards and will definately help.

IthacaJeff 151 #33 Posted July 23, 2011 We've got a 1 year old lawn the has not yet filled in so much to choke out the weeds, so the weeds can get tall pretty quick if they are not cut down. Mowed yesterday after dinner. . . cooled down pretty well. But my 416-8 has no lights so it got a bit dark. That was fun! Jeff in Enfield NY
