Definitely cool, but certainly not the "rat" that I was expecting. My interpretation of a "rat" ("rat rod") is a rusty, pieced-together, mismatched conglomeration of who-knows-what parts (including some that aren't even vehicle-related) that is just complete enough to run and not necessarily safely operate. Yours is quite a bit nicer and more organized than a "rat". :D

The old "Charlie Horse" Sporty looks like a promising project too. I had a '76 waaaaaaaaay back about 22 years ago. Shouldn't be too tough to make a bobber out of it - since they really didn't have all the unnecessary garbage on them in the first place. :woohoo:

You are absolutly right in our interpretation of a "Rat" I only called it that because the Guy who pin striped it for me called it a Rat tractor. Plus like any other project it is still not finished. I plan on changing the exaust and am currently working on an afterburner system for it. Thinkin Propane injection just havent worked out the details yet. The sporty is a whole other project.....still kinda like a big Lawn mower just with 2 wheels and another cylinder!!!!!!!!...Lol

C161 Rat, My tires have been painted for 3 years now!

and holding up fine, here's how I painted mine...

Take a strip of aluminum roof flashing cut 2" wide

and long enough to go around the wheel jam it around the wheel

and tape the end so it stays in place then take another peice

of flashing 2' wide and long enough to make the outside width

tape it to the tire and spray flat white Krylon between the flashing!

That's it you now have Wide White Walls! COOL!

:woohoo: HORSEFEATHERS!
