jay in nc 210 #1 Posted July 16, 2011 i bought a 72 bronco 14 off ebay &had eldon deliver it to the show. i also bought a used sunstrand for my 71 bronco from jdog. back in 94 i painted the 71 &thought the stripe was a previuse owner add on &removed it &all evedence of it beeing there. does anyone make the stripe? i could buy a decal set for a 71 &use all but the stripe on the 72. oh the problems when you have 16 horses. thank you jay in nc Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

We madea best guess as to the sizes of the individual stripes. I believe we made the cente stripe 1 1/2", the two red stripes 1/4" and the two white stripes were 1/2". 71_Bronco 1,072 #5 Posted July 17, 2011 I too am redoing a 71 Bronco this winter. I also found little info on the stripe. Luckily, I was able to measure the faded paint on the hood and get measurements on the widths. I have heard people getting custom striping done from a local sign maker, so that's the route I'm going to go. I am also thinking about doing something a little custom with mine. I'm thinking about doing a dark charcol stripe with medium grey ghost flames, to make it a little one-off, but not be a radical "look at me, I'm custom" Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Boy I sure wanted that tractor; I kept gawking at it, and it's a real keeper. Make sure to post pic's of the restoration. It sure is nice to bump into people from the NC area once in a while.
