312Hydro 473 #1 Posted July 12, 2011 Can anyone tell me the thickness and width and length of the arm that the cable and tiller chain attach to? I'm guessing that the arm is 1/4 inch thick by 1 1/2 inches wide? I could also use the bottom hole measurement from the end to center of the hole. This would be for a late model 300/400/500 series. 312Hydro 473 #3 Posted July 13, 2011 Thanks Lost Pup! Your post on building a rock shaft is excellent! It's what got me to thinking about making my own. I also like your post on the mid mount pulleys too What I'm looking for is if someone with the original rock shaft would take some measurements for me. I've decided to use 1 1/4 x 1/4 steel for the arm. I was hoping to get this verified by a member. I was also looking for the hole and slot placement for the factory chain.
