squonk 42,890 #1 Posted July 10, 2011 I saw several Round hoods at the show with chrome exhaust stacks . I want to put a stack on my Power King and C-160. All I can seem to find are the "big" pipes. Where do you get the 1 1/2"- 1 5/8 ones? :D
Gene_S 93 #2 Posted July 10, 2011 Mike I believe you can get them from midwestsupercub.net http://www.mcssl.com/store/midwestsupercub...e-exhaust-pipes
baerpath 517 #3 Posted July 11, 2011 If you don't want spend a lot, check the local hardware store. Look for a stainless assist bar. They make great stacks or you can use stainless water line. Also stainless gives a nice sound especially on a 16hp and it won't blue as fast as chrome. Duane

The elbow has a 1inchx 6inch pipe on it.The chrome pipe slips over it along with a home made sleeve to make up for the difference.Cut a couple of 3/8" long kerfs ( just like crimping it)on bottom of pipe to allow it to compress a little bit and used a pipe clamp. Since the pipe is about the same diameter as the outside of the elbow it rests on it neatly giving it a finished look. It gives it a nice deep "throaty"sound.Pipe is actually chrome plated brass. So far in about six months of use it has not even discolored. When I find my camera I will post an up close shot of it.
