rtribe 0 #1 Posted July 10, 2011 I have been reading post for a while and never had to post before, I have always been able to find and anwser. So on to the question I recently purchased another of my Grandpa (Charger 12) and it came with a loader and 1/2 of a another engine (both missing a starter and only 1 carb on parts engine). I believe the engine is a K301, but the guy I bought it from told me he had robbed some parts from the other engine and that engine is a K241. Neither one has a starter and I am trying to find out if an aftermarket 13 tooth starter will work? Any help would be great as my son and I have been trying everything to get this back into the shape I remember when my grandpa had it. I think it is a High Mount. My other tractor is a 1077 and the starter is different. Will the Carb from the K241 work on the K301 also? daveoman1966 3,841 #3 Posted July 10, 2011 I have TWO starters for you. One is like new and the other has been used for a short time after I overhauled it. They are the same starter and will fit the k241 (10hp) thru k341 (16hp) Kohler engines. Both have been bench tested and carry a 30-day replacement warranty from me. for pics and further details, send an OFF-SITE email to me.
