Bearings gone on inner pulley ate into the shaft

Outer pulley bearing shot (falling apart) and pulley was nearly seized to the shaft after it sat for a week or so. loosened w/ PB blaster.

Given there's zero rust on this, I'd rather refurb than replace.

My first thought is to get an inner pulley with a flange, drill/thread a hole for a set screw and a shallow hole in the shaft to hold it in place and be done with it.

Other ideas, how-to, links, sources to get the work done?

If this plan gets a thumbs up from those with more experience at this than me (1st time WH owner & haven't worked in a shop where I could do this since 1970), I'm nearly 100% sure I have a source for parts.
