546cowboy 301 #1 Posted July 7, 2011 I just picked up a tiller and I guess a cultivator for a song and need help to find out what it fits. Here are some pictures. That thing I'm calling a cultivator seems to have awfully wide tines, is it a lawn rake? Any help would be appreciated.
TT-(Moderator) 1,129 #2 Posted July 7, 2011 Tiller: no clue. Something with a 3 point hitch and not much on the heavy-duty side. The bottom is a Brinly disc frame with spring tooth harrow tines bolted to it.
546cowboy 301 #3 Posted July 16, 2011 Well I sold the tiller on Ebay and the guy that bought it says it fits a Ford. Hope it does for his sake. Still can't figure out what that other thing is. I guess I'll just have to put it on a tractor and see what it does. Looks like it would rake those sticks in the yard from those tree branches after the storm. Oh well? Should have read the post above more closely didn't see that last part. Thanks TT!
6wheeler 586 #4 Posted July 16, 2011 I agree, that is a disc frame. What I would do if you want to use it as a cultivator is move the two center tines of each side to the front of the frame. That way the dirt will pass through without plugging it up. Also, if you want to use it to straddle a row in the garden, Don't forget to take off the very center tine or you will have no more rows to straddle Pat
