hill 0 #1 Posted July 6, 2011 Hello all! I'm a new member to the site after searching for how to modify my C175 wheelhorse tractor for plowing my garden and possibly pulling a bush hog of sorts. I have posted a few pics of the hitch that is on this tractor. My dad modified it to attach his leaf catcher, but I'd like to use it for other things. The mower deck can be detached and we have a front blade for the tractor, but we've never used it. I realize I need to do some searching the site, but I wanted to introduce myself as well. Any information I can learn from you guys is much appreciated! Thanks. Attached Image
hill 0 #2 Posted July 6, 2011 And here's a picture of the tractor itself. I'm not sure of the year. Attached Image
SousaKerry 503 #3 Posted July 6, 2011 Nice tractor just by the pictures I'd say it is a 81-84 there should be an actual model number on a tag below the dash should have a number similar to 01-17KE01 the last two digits will tell us the year. As far as a hitch for plowing and such goes you need the clevis hitch such as this one they regularly pop up on ebay and in the for sale section here there is a chain and cable that goes along with this, chances are your tractor may already have the rear lift cables installed look under the gas tank as you raise and lower the lift and see if anything moves. once you have the clevis hitch you can attach any Brinley implement such as this plow I stole these pictures from Dale in the for sale section Oh BTW and them black hood tractors are some of the best in my opinion my first was a C125 that I upgraded a bit to a pseudo C175

shorts 182 #6 Posted July 7, 2011 :woohoo: I,d start looking for a plow and then decide what style hitch is needed, some of the plows used the sleeve hitch.
