Reproduction Seats and Upholstery

Recommended Posts

I have a 1968 Lawn Ranger that has a pretty good seat except for the top piece where it is cut from wearing against the steel seat frame. Anyone have an idea where you could get some vinyl upholstery material to match? It has a real pronounced 'grain' molded in the vinyl. On a related note, one time I recall 'TT' Terry mentioned looking into making a die to mold the horse head on the later molded seat. Did anything ever come of that?

Thanks, Fred

I can't help you with locating the vinyl, Fred. I'm guessing that there's sites here on the internet for vintage auto upholstery supplies but I have never looked for any.

The die for heat stamping the emblem in the vinyl was never pursued. Maybe I can look into it again when I get all my other "issues" squared away.
