My uncle picked up a couple of tractors, 2 WH's a b-80 and a 552, and some other crapsman stuff, I told him to get anything red, that might go to a tractor, when picking stuff up, He found this PTO shaft and right angle gear box  any ideas on what it might be?? he said it's about 4' long, maybe for a D??

Kelly I havent a clue, :WRS: but very interesting device. I could see some interesting uses for it possibly like coupling to a water pump or something. Wrap it up and give it to me for Christmas!

I've seen a picture (Danish site) where a "Wheel Horse made for export" had something that looks likes just this, no idea how it was used but came out the back.

No Perry they are not for me.

I could get the B-80 if I wanted it, but I don't, I get first dibs on the 552 it's pretty nice, but has a 8hp kohler on it, not running. He paid $100 for it.

He also picked up a 417A with a bad motor W/deck for $175

And a tiller for $40

I would like to run across a B-80. I have one and need some parts.

That item pictured looks like a belt driven PTO of some sort.

Well then if you are correct about that, then it would be for a D-250 becuase that was the only tractor made out of the U.S. I would be certain then it is a P.T.O. Shaft made for some sort of Impliment for the D-250.

Definatly not for a D250. THe pto for the front is similar to the other D's, and the rear PTO is incorperated in the tranny. I wonder if it may be for one of the vertical engine WH macines?

A lot of WH's were made out of the country in Belgium, The D250 was one of the few imported to the US. Not sure but I wonder if it was part of a rear PTO system?

Never seen anything like that in my D250 or Gutenbrod books.

As I said it may not even be a WH part, I was thinking maybe, but not sure, it's kinda small for a farm tractor, and belt drive?

hey kelly, i posted this on a another tractor board and this is what i got as a rsponse.

Judging from the bracket just below the pulley (the one w/ off set and

hole at the end) it comes from the Massey Furguson Garden tractors or

the Snapper Garden tractors. Models 1655 and 1855 or the like. Snapper

bought out MF and produced the garden tractors (just the name plate changed)

and another response.

I will bet it was to run a tiller or blower on a wheel horse, cause my brother has one like it I think and he has a wheel horse.
